Dissertationsprojekt: The Changes of Priestly Identity in the Czech Catholic Milieu in the First Half of the 20th Century
The project is based on the research into changes of priestly identity in the Czech Catholic milieu in the first half of the 20th century. The project aims towards a deeper understanding of specific situations within the said historical period that forced priests to reconsider their role in a modern secular society. Through the biographical research of several priests various examples of reactions to the crisis of identity in the priesthood and to the new position of the church in Czech society are highlighted.
